CHARACTERS AND COMICS
April 22-June 19 (9 weeks)

Class Fee: $300
This class will focus on character development and storytelling. Over the session, we will experiment with different illustration techniques and design a cast of characters. Through drawing and writing exercises, we will develop our characters’ personalities, backstories and create the world they live in.
In this virtual format, students will receive lessons each week to work on at home, along with a recommended materials list. Faculty member, Zoe, will begin each week with a video demonstration and introduction to skills via Zoom. Students may join Zoe via video again on Fridays for a check in about works in process and a critique or group activity with the class .
Video Sessions: Wednesdays and Fridays, 3:00-4:00pm
NOTE: Links to lessons and video sessions will be shared with students via email each week. Zoom videos will be recorded and made available for students who are unable to attend the scheduled time.
